Derbyshire’s waste recycling centres reopen – how you can find out the latest waiting times

Derbyshire County Council has reopened its household waste recycling centres today – with restrictions.

The centres were closed as a result of the Covid-19 lockdown but are now back open after the Government relaxed laws last week.

A council spokesperson said: “You should only visit if you can’t keep your waste at home, safely and without causing harm or injury.

“Check Derbyshire County Council’s website before setting off to see latest waiting times.

“If your car number plate ends in an even number (0,2,4,6,8), you will be allowed to visit on even dates.

“If your car number plate ends in an odd number (1,3,5,7,9), you will be able to access your centre on odd dates,” the spokesperson added.
