This year’s cohort of year 11 students are worthy of particular congratulation as they have experienced a number of significant changes to the educational system during their time in school.

These changes, tougher courses, more content and an increased focus on examinations, have presented challenges to both students and school staff.

In this context, it is great to see our students deliver another superb set of results across the school says headteacher Simon Grieves.

He said: “I’m delighted with this year’s results. It is fantastic to see great performance across the grade range. I am always especially pleased to see those who work hard, rewarded with the grades that they deserve, allowing them to progress to their chosen post 16-courses.

"Students have done particularly well at the top end, with many achieving at the new grade 9 in a range of subjects.
