Video footage shows householders dancing in Heath Grove to Darude’s 90s dance classic Sandstorm.

Children and young couples can be seen bopping around in the middle of the street while one pensioner is captured punching the air - like a DJ or dancer at a rave.

Zoe Bradley, who lives on nearby Grove Lane, told how 69-year-old Dennis Caldwell had held the DIY disco two weeks in a row - ‘uplifting’ nearby residents.

However Dennis doesn’t stop at dance tunes - the dedicated DJ also picks up the mic to serenade his neighbours with performances of classic songs.

Among those he belts out are Bryan Adams’ Summer Of 69, You Sexy Thing by Hot Chocolate and You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Mum-of-two Zoe said: “We were doing the usual clap for the NHS when we heard You’ll Never Walk Alone blaring out.

“Dennis was singing and everyone was dancing - it’s really lovely.

“My mother-in-law lives on that road and is a keyworker doing 12-hour shifts seven days a week - so it’s nice for her to have some lighthearted fun.

“We get all ages out on the street enjoying it - I’m in my 30s so I was feeling nostalgic and having a bit of a rave.”
