Warm sunshine greeted hundreds of revellers on The Slopes on Saturday as they enjoyed live performances from an array of talented soloists, bands and DJs on the roof of the historic Pump Room. The free music festival also involved a silent disco and the airing of a new audio piece, Water Swallows, by artist Amy Sharrocks. Liz Mackenzie, Development and Events Manager for the Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust, said: “It was a brilliant day for Buxton families and residents made possible by the great team work of Greg and Elliot Smith, our volunteers, the town team and local spirit and support. A special thank you to the Arts Council and Markovitz Home Show who funded the event.” The fine weather sadly didn’t last throughout the weekend and Sunday’s programme was moved indoors to The Old Clubhouse.
