Pedestrian knocked unconscious and left with fractured spine after hit-and-run

A man suffered back injuries when he was hit by a car in High Peak which did not stop at the scene.

Sometime between 1.30am and 2.30am on Saturday, July 16, the 48-year-old was walking along Dolly Lane, Buxworth, which does not have a pavement.

He heard a car approaching from behind and was hit. He was knocked unconscious and was left with three fractures to his spine.

The victim believes the car was a light blue or silver hard top convertible, possibly a BMW.
