Park considerately, drivers urged

DRIVERS are being urged to park considerately by police after concerns about road safety by residents in Hague Bar, New Mills.

Officers on the New Mills and Hayfield Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team are targeting the issue on Hague Bar Road, in particular around vehicles being parked on pavements, causing an obstruction and parking along the bend.

They will be speaking to and advising drivers while out on patrol and giving out warning letters.

Drivers risk a £30 fixed penalty notice for causing an obstruction or a £60 ticket and three penalty points for parking in a dangerous position on the road.
