High Peak parents can take advantage of a free Understanding Your Child’s Behaviour Course at a variety of locations across the borough.

Being held at schools and children’s centres including Buxton Infant School, New Mills Primary School and Whaley Bridge Primary School, the classes are part of the CANparent programme, which has been trialled in the High Peak. The Solihull Approach have trained staff from multiple Derbyshire schools to deliver the class, which is being offered in 2015, free to parents.

Save the Children’s Families and Schools Together (FAST) programme will also continue at Tintwistle, Harpur Hill and Thornsett schools.

The trial, which has seen parenting classes being offered via a range of organisations, ends on March 31, but CANparent will continue with a number of groups and courses throughout the area. For more information, see
