Two people are no longer in a serious condition after a crash on Long Hill.

A car and a van collided on the road just before 2pm last Thursday.

The car driver was flown by air ambulance to hospital in Stoke. The van driver was taken to Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport.

Shortly after the incident, police said both people were in a 'serious' condition. Thankfully, officers now say they are both expected to make a full recovery.

The road was closed for several hours following the crash.

It reopened by 8.30pm when it was used as a diversion route for heavy goods vehicles while a section of the A6 was closed in Buxton for a reconstruction following a fatal collision earlier this month.
