BBC sports commentator and Olympic athlete Rob Hayles is generously donating his time for a charity auction event to be held to support Hayfield Village and the school.
Rob Hayles, a three-time Olympic medallist and double Track World Champion, has pledged a one to one bike ride, or a group bike ride.
In addition, Rob is also donating one of his personal collection of cycling jersey’s, signed by many world class cycling heroes.
Proceeds from the auction will go towards the purchase of IT equipment for use by not only the school but also the local community. By purchasing a range of IT equipment, the whole rural community, as well as pupils of the village school will benefit from being online, and being able to access the world wide web.
The auction opens online on February 6, 2015, and will close online on March 11, 2015, with some pledges to be reopened on the night of March 14, 2015, at a live charity auction event. Tickets for the evening event will be £5 per ticket, available in advance.
Sealed bids will be accepted for the Rob Hayles’ pledges, in order that this unique opportunity to enjoy time with one of the country’s leading cycling aficionado’s will be available to a wider audience.
