Nine-year-old boy in serious condition after being hit by a car

Officers are appealing for information after a nine-year-old boy was hit by a car in Disley.

At approximately 6pm on Monday, August 8, Cheshire Police were called to reports of collision involving a child.

The collision occurred on Buxton Old Road, and involved a grey hatchback.

Police and ambulance attended the scene and the nine-year-old was taken to Manchester Children’s Hospital, where he is currently being treated for serious injuries.

The driver of the car was uninjured.
