New Mills Railway Modellers aid five good causes in High Peak

New Mills & District Railway Modellers have handed over a total of £2,000 to five organisations which represents the proceeds of their annual exhibition.

Club chairman Bob Howarth presented cheques to representatives of High Peak Community Arts, New Mills War Memorial Club, Mills Band, Ecclesbourne Valley Railway and the Kinder Scout Mountain Rescue. each representative gave a brief overview on how their award would be spent.

The club will be holding its 45th annual exhibition on Saturday, February 23, and Sunday, February 24, 2019, at Chapel en le Frith Leisure Centre where the main exhibit will be a 30ft layout of the old Midland Railway Chapel en le Frith station (now a DIY store). with more than 30+ other layouts and traders in attendance.
