Doncaster Council has given the green light for two sizeable housing developments that will create more than 300 new homes in the borough.

Since 2001 the group has been donating proceeds to support Blythe House Hospice in Chapel-en-le-Frith and the total is now almost £50,000.

At the exhibition there will be an extensive collection of model railway equipment following the death of a club member’s father.

A club spokesman said: “There are over 300 items of boxed gauge models including over 60 locomotives, there are also over 400 unboxed items including rolling stock and scenic accessories.

“We would hope that visitors will be able to pick up a bargain or two.”
