New Mills model railway group's annual Blythe House fundraiser

Back for the 42nd year, the New Mills and District Railway Modellers' annual exhibition will be on February 27 and 28 at Chapel-en-le-Frith High School.

Since 2001 the group has been donating proceeds to support Blythe House Hospice in Chapel-en-le-Frith and the total is now almost £50,000.

At the exhibition there will be an extensive collection of model railway equipment following the death of a club member’s father.

A club spokesman said: “There are over 300 items of boxed gauge models including over 60 locomotives, there are also over 400 unboxed items including rolling stock and scenic accessories.

“We would hope that visitors will be able to pick up a bargain or two.”
