New Mills model railway exhibition a huge success
New Mills and District Railway Modellers held their 42nd event at Chapel-en-le-Frith High School last weekend, featuring fun for everyone.
Treasurer Henry Kukiewicz said: “It was a fabulous day and we had lots of families come through the door, not just the stereotypical fan of model railways.”

There were members from Buxton Model Engineers in attendance, and Buxton Boat Club also had a display.
Henry, who has been with the club for three years, has been involved with model railways for 30 years.
He said: “It was a long weekend as we arrived at the school on Friday night, but adrenaline kept us going.

“There was a great buzz about the place,” he added, “and it was lovely seeing younger members get excited about the hobby too.”
