High Peak Community Arts has worked with members of the community to produce two large welcome signs for Furness Vale’s community field.
Members of the Project eARTh team created the ceramic signs with the help of artist Caroline Chouler-Tissier.
Participants also worked with artist Debra Tracey to create a mosaic trail, featuring 59 mosaics which have been cemented onto rocks around the field.
Alison Bowry, Creative Programme Manager for High Peak Community Arts, said: “We had a fantastic morning unveiling the two ceramic ‘welcome’ signs and the mosaic trail on Furness Vale Community Field.”
Guests at the launch included High Peak Mayor Coun Linda Grooby, alongside members of Furness Vale Community Organising Green Space (COGS), local residents and children from Furness Vale Primary School.
