Nervous finish for Hope Valley

Hope Valley 1sts remained second after a narrow 22-21 victory over Stockport 3rds.

Adam Ryder scored his first try for the club, but Hope Valley trailed 7-5 at half-time.

Steve Rawson was quickest to react to a loose ball for a converted try to restore their lead before a long-range, solo effort by Will Boot should have secured the win.

Stockport fought back though with a converted try and, although Josh Mosley crashed over from short range, a last-minute score by the visitors led to a nervous moment for Valley.
