Meeting on Fire Service plans

A PUBLIC meeting giving High Peak residents the chance to have their say on how Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service should operate is taking place in Buxton next month.

The service is currently developing an Integrated Risk Management Plan (IRMP), which identifies both the national and local fire and rescue service risks that the communities of Derbyshire/UK are exposed to.

And to help with the IRMP, the service is currently consulting with staff and local residents on a number of issues including: how the service should prioritise spending their budget and should Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service recover costs incurred from responding to non-life critical and non-urgent calls?

A public consultation meeting is being held at Buxton Fire Station, Staden Lane, on Thursday, November 8, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm when a Fire Service Officer will give a presentation summarising the issues being consulted upon.
