Matlock Bath Illuminations poised for Hallowe’en finale sell-out

Derbyshire Dales District Council, organisers of the popular event, are warning that anyone who turns up for this year’s finale on Saturday without a ticket may not get into the showpiece event.

A spokesperson for DDDC said: “We think it’s important to stress that we can never guarantee visitors will be able to buy tickets on the night.

“This year we’re offering cheaper prices for people who book in advance online and we think there’s a good chance we could be sold out when the last night online booking deadline closes.

“We’ve had a fabulous season so far and our thanks go not only to the tens of thousands of visitors but also the stars of the show, our fantastic boat builders, who really have pulled out the stops again this year for the unique river parade.”

Visitors are being urged to turn up in fancy dress for the Halloween finale, which will end with a fireworks display.
