Man cut free from car after Snake Pass crash

Firefighters had to cut a man free from his vehicle yesterday after a crash on the A57 Snake Pass.

The collision, involving a VW Golf and a Peugeot van happened around 4.15pm near to Glossop Golf Club.

One person in the VW Golf was trapped by their injuries and the other vehicle and had to be cut free by firefighters. Two other people were also injured, though none of the injuries are serious, a police spokesperson said.

Fire crews from Glossop and New Mills, police and the South Yorkshire Air Ambulance also attended the scene and the road was closed until 6.50pm.
