Man charged with Buxton assault
An 18-year-old man who allegedly assaulted someone in Buxton has been charged with the offence.
At around 12.40pm on Monday, September 26, a 20-year-old man was walking along Fairfield Road in Buxton with his shopping when he was approached by two other men close to the traffic lights.
A verbal altercation is believed to have taken place before one of the men allegedly began punching the victim repeatedly in his head and body.
Matthew Green, 18, of Nettleton Lane, Harpur Hill was arrested and charged with assault earlier this week.
He is set to appear at Chesterfield Justice Centre on Thursday, March 16.
