Man allegedly punched woman in face at Buxton pub


Police are appealing for witnesses after a man allegedly punched a woman in the face, causing injury, at a pub in Buxton.

At around 11.45pm on Friday, September 16, a man and a woman got into an argument at the end of the bar in the Queens Head pub on High Street, Buxton.

The man is then believed to have punched the 22-year-old woman in the face, causing injury.

Following the incident at the Queens Head, there was a further altercation between the two in the area of High Street.

The pub was busy that evening and police believe there could be witnesses who are yet to come forward.

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault, questioned and released on bail while inquiries continue.
