The event is organised by Buxton Town Team. Volunteer organiser Janet Miller said: “Last year’s Buxton Spring Fair was amazing, there was a real buzz, as we all celebrated what a great place Buxton is, to live or work in, and to visit.”

Another volunteer, newcomer Alice Garside, added: “I’m very excited to be working on such a big project that is heavily community based.

“After seeing the outcome of previous years, I’m looking forward to participating in the event that gets bigger and better each year.”

This year the entertainment aspect of the fair is being run by University of Derby Foundation Event Management Students, led by Ian Taylor.

Ian said: “Taking part in The Buxton Spring Fair will give stallholders and performers the opportunity to showcase their talents and merchandise.

“And if you can juggle, dance or sing, then the fair is the place to show your talents and recruit more people to take up your passion.”

Also new for 2016, Buxton Town Team has been working alongside the new Buxton Markets CIC, who will be taking over the markets at the end of April, offering them ready-built market stalls for up to 25 traders.

The Town Team is looking for any individuals willing to volunteer on the day to help marshal the event.
