Whaley Bridge Carnival put a smile on everyone’s face at the weekend.
A colourful procession of floats, led by Whaley Bridge Brass Band, weaved its way through through the town on Saturday in a much-loved annual spectacular.
Hundreds of people turned out to cheer on the participants in the wonderful parade, which started in Canal Street and finished at Whaley Bridge Bowling Club.
There, the fun continued with rock group Turtles Zed, the fantastic Bubble Man, fairground rides, stalls – and plenty more.
Whaley Bridge Rose Queen Committee organised the hit event.
A spokesman said: “We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who was involved.
“The procession was fantastic.
“It was so good to see everyone and hear all the positive comments.
“We’ve already started getting 2017 plans into motion.”
Whaley Bridge residents took to social media to hail the spectacle.
On Facebook, Tal Anderson said: “A fantastic day was had by all.”
Brian Read said: “It was a great, enjoyable day.”
