The sun shone on Longnor Races which organisers say was once again a great success.

Throughout the day there were many races taking from the gymkhana, to the harness racing, the children’s Dream Mile a fell run and for those who like a bit more horsepower there was the motorbike competitions.

Race secretary Heidi Bradbury said: “We had a great day of racing, fantastic weather and a great crowd enjoying the days events.

“The day finished with the fell race, which attracted an excellent turnout of around 70 runners, with nearly 50 juniors, many promising young runners for the future and a huge well done to all that took part.”
