AROUND 100 walkers have helped raise more than £6,000 for good causes after taking part in an event organised by Buxton Lions.
Teams put their best feet forward to take part in the Buxton Twin Peaks Challenge, a five-mile moonlight sponsored walk.
Starting from the boating lake pavilion in the Pavilion Gardens and finishing at the Buckingham Hotel, participants in the walk were encouraged to don fancy dress, especially nightwear.
And their efforts have raised £1,000 for Buxton Lions with a further £5,500 being raised for other charities chosen by the walkers.
David Brookes of Buxton Lions said: “We had a fantastic evening and everyone said how much they enjoyed it.”
