LETTER: Staff are making an effort at Bowerfield House

With reference to your article about Bowerfield House in a recent issue of the Advertiser I would like to make some further points.'¨My wife has been a resident in this home for some years now and whilst I acknowledge there have been a number of issues which the Care Quality Commission have quite rightly highlighted in their report following the inspection at the end of 2016, I do feel that the entire team presently employed at Bowerfield House are putting in a great deal of effort to address these issues and I am confident they will meet the required standards when the CQC make their follow up visit in a few months time.'¨It is also worth noting that the CQC have significantly tightened up their inspection regime, rightly so in my opinion, a point which should not go unnoticed by many other care homes across the country.
