LETTER: Meeting at Eccles Fold care home proved useful

There was a large turnout of interested parties who through robust discussion put the case across against the closing of this valued resource at the end of March.

I would like to thank the officers who after listening to the evidence showing a lack of viable provision, have postponed the closure until the end of June. Anyone who needs respite can now book in till the end of June. 
There will be a meeting to find out if there are any different alternatives and I will inform people of this.
