A study which reveals important opportunities for Buxton’s economy, local businesses and the local community is to be launched on January 14.
The Buxton Economic Resilience Study, prepared by members of Transition Buxton, has taken nearly ten months to complete.
It looks at how businesses and locals can best adapt to changes in the world and continue to thrive.
Jean Ball, of Transition Buxton, who helped prepare the report, said: “The world both environmentally and economically is changing and the people, places and businesses who are prepared for the future and are ready for all these changes will thrive whereas those who aren’t won’t.”
She added: “We have had a huge amount of co-operation from lots of organisations and volunteer groups.”
The study will be launched at the Shrewsbury Room at the Old Hall Hotel, Buxton, on Wednesday January 14 at 7.30pm.
Space is limited so anyone wanting to attend the event is asked to RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
