Preparations are already well underway for Buxton’s Winter Celebration and Christmas Lights Switch On.
Organisers are hoping to improve on last year’s spectacular lantern procession and bring some sparkle to the dark winter nights.
Free drop-in workshops are being held to give people of all ages the chance to create their own willow lanterns to bring along on the night. The workshops are taking place on Saturday November 15 at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery from 10am to 12.30pm and from 1.30pm to 4pm and at Harpur Hill Surestart on Wednesday November 19 from 1.15pm to 3.15pm.
The Christmas Lights switch-on is on Friday November 21 at the Pavilion Gardens with a range of fun for all the family to enjoy from 2pm until 8pm.
