Lace up your boost for popular sponsored charity walk

Walkers are being encouraged to put their best foot forward in aid of charity.

The North Staffordshire branch of Christian Aid will be leading a sponsored walk at Tittesworth Water, just off the A53 near Leek, on Saturday April 8, from 10am.

Last year’s walk raised almost £51,000 and remains one of the charity’s most successful annual events.

Registration will take place from 9.15am. There will be two routes to choose from - a short walk of approximately two miles or a longer route of around five miles.

Both routes will be clearly signposted, and walkers are asked to complete the course by 1pm.

The walk will be launched by The Bishop of Stafford and the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent.

Car parking will be available at a discounted rate of £2.50. A pass will be issued on arrival and must be displayed inside participants’ vehicles.

Easter eggs will be handed out to anyone who takes part wearing fancy dress or an Easter bonnet.
