Kitten loses eye after being shot in the face by air weapon in Glossop

Police are appealing for witnesses after a kitten was shot in the face by an air weapon in Glossop, causing the animal to lose its eye.

The kitten’s owner, who lives on Scotty Brook Crescent, called police after their pet returned home injured at around 11.30am on July 21.

On examination by a vet, it had been found that the kitten had been shot with a pellet believed to be from an air weapon, causing the kitten to lose its eye.

Officers are urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area, or anyone with information relating to the attack, to get in touch.
