“It is a great honour to feature in such a prestigious magazine such as RSVP.”

The magazine was particularly impressed with Sarah’s range of tea and cakes on offer for guests, and the use of bespoke tableware provided by Burleigh pottery.

“We are increasingly seeing overseas visitors staying at our bed and breakfast which is good for our local economy,” said Sarah, who is a designer by profession, which is reflected in the style of the B&B.

She runs the bed and breakfast with her husband David, who is a journalist.

The B&B is one of five newcomers to be included in the guide throughout the whole of Britain and Ireland.

Pauline Latham, MP for Mid Derbyshire, said: “This is fantastic news for Sarah and Chevin Green Farm, bringing in more diverse visitors to Belper. The Japanese magazine feature is a real feather in their cap.”

Sarah said the farm had been her family’s home since 1929, when her great grandfather first moved there.
