Hope Valley College student Jade Taylor Holden has earned a place on the University of Sheffield’s Outreach and Access to Medicine scheme (SOAMS).

Jade secured her place after submitting an application outlining why she would like to pursue a career in medicine.

Head of Science Steve Taylor said: “SOAMS is exceptionally popular and incredibly prestigious so it is a massive achievement for Jade to be accepted onto the scheme.

“Jade has a real aptitude for science and a keen interest in medicine so we are delighted that she has secured this place as it will open up a treasure trove of opportunities for her.”
