A holidaymaker from Eastbourne had to be rescued after he slipped while walking in the Edale area on Monday afternoon.
Members of the Buxton and Edale Mountain Rescue Teams Snatch Squad were called out to assist.
The walker injured his ankle while out walking on the North side of Hollins Cross, part of the Great Ridge, with his wife.
He was treated on site and carried on a stretcher into the Edale Valley. He was then transferred by ambulance to Chesterfield Royal Hospital for further treatment.
