Patients using Buxton’s Minor Injuries Unit can now take advantage of better facilities, thanks to a recent refurbishment.
Work at the unit, which is based at Buxton Hospital, has involved the creation of a new clinical treatment area, to replace the old curtained-off area. This gives staff the chance to treat patients in a more private environment.
The room is kitted out with a variety of equipment including a hairdresser’s sink to help with eye irrigation and burns and is also large enough for ambulance crews or other medical staff if necessary.
And the new room is just part of an ongoing refurbishment at the unit, to improve the environment and treatment pathway for patients.
