High-profile inquest of aid worker killed in Pakistan to begin in Chesterfield

A high-profile inquest into the death of a British aid worker killed in Pakistan is due to take place in Chesterfield.

Khalil Dale, 60, was abducted by masked men while working with the International Committee of the Red Cross in Quetta, south-west Pakistan, in January 2012.

Mr Dale's body was found dumped at a roadside in that area in April 2012.

Mr Dale, who was born in York and grew up in Manchester, is buried in Glossop.

His inquest is set to begin at Chesterfield coroners' court this morning and expected to finish on Thursday.
