High Peak business leaders call for fast broadband

Business leaders from the Peaks are calling for super fast broadband will come to the county soon.

High Peak Business Club claims we are streaks behind nations like South Korea and Japan where fibre optics are the norm.

Club member and former Tory minister Edwina Currie commented that even Mansfield has up to 120 Mbps.

According to Digital Derbyshire, the county is “aiming for 98 per cent of homes and businesses in Derbyshire to be able (via fibre optics) to access speeds of at least 24Mb per second by the end of 2018.”
