Trust will give people bigger say

EAST Midlands Ambulance Service have launched a new consultation over plans to become an NHS Foundation Trust.

The trust have previously consulted on the plans and they are now asking residents for their input on how they should operate should their application be successful.

David Farrelly, Director of Strategy and Transformation, said: “We consulted previously in 2009 and have refined our vision, values, strategic aims and objectives since that time, so we have updated our consultation, which is region wide.”

The consultation runs to July 3. The full and summary consultation documents, which detail the dates, times and venues of public meetings in May and June, will be distributed widely and copies are available at
