Wizards, witches and muggles are all being summoned to a Harry Potter convention in Buxton next month.
The popular Philosopher’s Dome is returning to the Devonshire Dome on Saturday, June 23 and organisers say it will be more magical than last year’s inaugural event.
Steven Howard, who is also behind the successful Unicon, said: “Last year’s event was amazing and the atmosphere was, dare I say, magical. But we felt we could do more so this year we are adding more to the event including more photo opportunities, competitions and fun things to do.”
Special guests such as Jeff Rawle, better known as Amos Diggory, will be making a rare convention appearance.
Potterheads will have the chance to chat to Josh Herdman, who starred in all eight movies as Gregory Goyle.
Tolga Safer, Igor Karkaroff’s aid, and Paul Redfern who has played parts in both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts movies, will also be meeting fans.
Steven said: “There will be plenty of photo opportunities from posing with the menacing Troll from the first film and the much-loved Ford Anglia from Chamber of Secrets.
“There will be a chance to take part in competitions, listen in on guest talks, meet the owls, try your hand in the potion class, and shop until you drop at the superb themed stalls.”
Tickets are purchased in house colours and throughout the day, just like in the books, there will be the chance to win points for your house by taking part in all the activities.
Steven added: “We are really looking forward to going a step further this year.”
The June 23 event will run from 10am to 4pm.
Admission is £10 for over-12s, £5 for five to 11-year-olds and free for under fives. Tickets are available from www.skiddle.com/e/13076990.
