WITH public spaces for the 2012 Virgin London Marathon closed and most local charity spaces filled Derbyshire runners may find gaining a last minute space for the iconic race impossible.
For those looking for a space and a cause close to home to support the national deafblind charity, Sense, is offering Derbyshire runners guaranteed places.
The charity, which provides a number of services across Derbyshire, has an allocation of marathon places available. If you would like to run for Sense and can raise a minimum sponsorship, please contact Shad Everett at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 0845 127 0069.
Shad Everett, Sense, said: “The London Marathon is iconic event and getting a place is even more difficult, especially in the Olympic year. Sense is able to provide runners with an exciting opportunity to take part in the 2012 event while raising vital funds to support our work with deafblind children and adults.”
