The Bingham Trust is looking to help charity and voluntary organisations which operate in the SK17 postcode area.
The charity was created by the Will of the late Robert Henry Bingham, who lived in the Buxton area. He set up a permanent endowment that creates income. The trust now makes grants out of that income.
A spokesman for the trust said: “Charitable purposes include the relief of poverty, the provision of educational services, the assistance of religious activity and the benefit of the community.
“We prefer to fund capital projects rather than revenue expenses.”
