Plans to build 150 new homes in Glossop have been approved by the council this week.
High Peak Borough Council unanimously voted in favour of the proposed development on land off North Road, in Glossop, at a meeting on Monday.
The application – which proposed 45 affordable homes – received 26 letters of objection, including a concern that a cluster of affordable homes will create a “ghetto” in the development.
The application proposes 150 new homes on a cul-de-sac. This will include a large area of open space, ponds and habitat areas.
A number of different properties will be built in the project including one bedroom, apartments and houses of various sizes.
