GCSE success for students at New Mills School and Sixth Form

Students at New Mills School and Sixth Form celebrated another year of improved GCSE results yesterday (Thursday).

There were some excellent performances with many students achieving top grades including Ellen Bootes (3A*, 1 Distinction star, 4 A, 1 Distinction and 2 B grades), Louise Banks (3A*, 1 Distinction star, 4 A and 1 C grade), Ella Hardwick Allen (2A*, 3A and 5B grades), Elle Morrison (2A*, 1 Distinction*, 1A, 5B and 1C grade), Anna Bagnall (1A*, 9A and 1 Distinction star grade).

Headteacher Debbie McGloin, said “I would like to congratulate our students on their results and thank all of the staff for their hard work in supporting our students’ achievement. As well as the continued support of parents and governors.

“I am extremely proud of all our students who have worked very hard to achieve such excellent results and wish them all the very best of luck for the future.”

The school is holding an open evening on September 23 from 7pm to 9pm.
