Gary to run London Marathon in memory of Ian Magno

He will be running in memory of former Branksome Care Manager Ian Magno, who sadly died of the illness last year.

“Ian wanted to do a sponsored walk in London when he was better and raise money so this is for him and for his family and friends who miss him and to keep his memory going.”
Last month, the grandfather of Gary’s wife Vicky also sadly died of myeloma.
Gary added: “Up until a year ago I’d never heard of myeloma and didn’t know what it was so I am trying to raise as much money and awareness as I can.”

It can affect multiple places in the body where bone marrow is normally active in an adult.
Gary has been training hard for the marathon and recently took part in the Wilmslow Half Marathon.
