PREPARATIONS are underway for the annual Furness Vale Field Event which takes place next weekend.
The event, on Saturday, May 19, is now in its fifth year and takes place in a field off Yeardsley Lane, Furness Vale.
Music will be provided by local bands White Van Man, Neon Rail Road, I am Sparticus and The Beachcombers.
There will also be a bouncy castle, stalls, children’s rides, food stalls, beer tent, tea and coffee, local history tent, children’s activities and more.
Furness Vale Field Event is organised by Community Organising Green Space (COGS) whose long term aim is to develop the field for the benefit of the community.
Money raised by the event is used by COGS for their work protecting and developing the field.
At last year’s event, guests were able to view a 3D model of how the organisation would like to develop the field.
The event, which is free, will take place from noon to 6pm on Saturday, May 19.
