Buxton Mountain Rescue Team is marking its 50th year of service by starting a major fundraising campaign.

The team celebrate their golden anniversary in 2014 and will be launching the £50,000 for Fifty Years Service campaign to raise cash to replace their eleven-year-old Incident Control Vehicle.

During 2013, the team attended 84 incidents after being requested by police or the ambulance service, they helped 121 people and members spent 2,800 hours on call outs. Thanks are given to everyone who supported the team last year.
