A project to raise money for a second community minibus for Hayfield has been given a major boost after winning government funding.
Hayfield Sustainable Transport (HSTL) have been successful in a bid to the recently-launched Community Transport Minibus Fund to help towards purchasing a second bus which can be used for larger groups than the one already in operation in the village.
The funding means the sum needing to be raised by a community share offer is reduced. The share offer, which has been extended to May 31, is open to anyone who wants to support the development of not-for-profit environmentally friendly group transport.
