Debt counselling charity Christians Against Poverty is to hold a three-session course to help people manage their money and also help those who need to get back in control of their money.
The free course will be held on three consecutive Wednesday evenings starting on May 16 at 7pm at The Source, Terrace Road, Buxton. Further details on www.capmoney.org.
Often, debt is caused not by overspending and credit cards but changes in circumstances eg job loss, relationship breakdown, illness or bereavement.
CAP Money helps to manage these situations and deal with the unexpected and courses are run by local Christians Against Poverty Centres. Buxton’s centre opened in 2010 in partnership with Buxton Church in the Peak.
The help it gives is for everyone regardless of age, gender, faith or background, and CAP stays in regular contact until the client is debt free.
