Two fire engines were sent to the bungalow on Amberley Drive in Harpur Hill.
Derbyshire Fire services tweeted about the incident at 5.22pm: “Two fire appliances were sent to a bungalow on Amberley Drive, Harpur Hill.
“This was fire in a kitchen.
“All persons had safely evacuated.
“Firefighters wearing BA extinguished fire using hose reels. Property also ventilated.”
