The family of Carl Buxton have described him as a ‘beautiful and joyful person’ in an emotional tribute.
Much-loved and popular Carl, 19, sadly passed away on Bakewell Road in Buxton towards the end of last month.
He leaves behind his father John, brothers Dean and Shaun and many friends.
Shaun said: “Brought up in a house full of lads, Carl was the youngest of three brothers.
“He was always the innocent one.
“He was kind, polite and friendly to whoever he spoke to.

“Growing up he became very popular with his friends, bringing a smile with him wherever he went.
“Being the beautiful and joyful person that he was brought him so many close friends, who will miss him dearly.
“Carl had such a close friendship with his dad but when he was younger was such a mummy’s boy.
“He was heartbroken since the passing of his mum ten years ago.
“Knowing that they are both now at peace, and together, is a blessing.
“Carl will be sadly missed by Papa John, me and Dean.”
He added: “Thank you to everyone who helped and supported my brother over the last three years.
“I know it meant so much to him, as well as the family.
“There have been so many kind words and gestures from so many people that I would just like to say thank you to you all.
“It is very much appreciated.”
Flowers, messages and a teddy bear have been placed on Bakewell Road in tribute to Mr Buxton, who lived on Sherwood Road in the town.
One of the notes reads: “RIP Carl. Gone but never forgotten.”
Another message describes him as an ‘angel in the sky’.
On social media, people have expressed their sadness at the tragedy and sent their condolences to Mr Buxton’s loved ones.
An inquest into Mr Buxton’s death was opened and adjourned at Chesterfield coroners’ court on Tuesday.
Police said he was hit by a van on Bakewell Road at about 2.30am on Tuesday, April 19
Mr Buxton’s funeral will take place at St Peter’s Church, Fairfield, at 10.15am on Monday, May 9.
