Views sought on plan

RESIDENTS, community groups and businesses are being asked for their views on proposed new planning policies for sustainable buildings and renewable energy in the Peak District National Park.

The Peak District National Park Authority is running an eight-week public consultation on the draft Supplementary Planning Document with comments invited until August 5.

The authority wants all new development in the national park to have as low an environmental impact as possible, while safeguarding the special landscape, traditional buildings and heritage of the area.

Paper copies of the document are available at High Peak Borough Council and Derbyshire Dales District Council offices and the Peak District National Park Authority’s Headquarters in Bakewell or online at
